Summit Point Speedway, Summit Point, WV

One of my old motocross buddies, Ryan Higgins, hit me up and had me head south into good ole West Virgina to get some footage of himself, his father and Lee Miller ripping around in the RX7. I rolled out of the homestead and headed south which seemed to be a short 2 1/2 hr trip. Upon getting there, everything was going great and then chaos happened. Their recently purchased $400 fuel pump took a shit leaving them to miss practice and the qualifying sessions. After a short trip to NAPA, they were back up and running with a $50 fuel pump. The first race of the day was Ryan's 30 minute sprint that he had to start dead last and worked his way up to the top 5, I believe. Around 3:45pm, the 4 hour enduro race began, starting with Lee Miller, then Ryan's Father, and then Ryan himself racing in complete darkness (with headlights) Nearing the last 30 minutes, the motor spit out a bunch of fluid, causing a ton of smoke, resulting in Ryan pulling off the track. The problem kept them from making it back onto the track and ended our day. Ryan kept his head up, knowing that the day could have been worse and that he would be able to race another day. Until then, it's back to putting hours upon hours of work into the car. Stay tuned for videos!
